Course Overview – 2026 Edition

Welcome to the Marijuana Handlers™ Colorado Responsible Vendor Training Program.

This course is designed to provide licensed cannabis employees and managers with a practical, plain-language understanding of Colorado marijuana laws, regulatory requirements, and responsible sales practices.

This training is grounded in:

• The Colorado Marijuana Code – §44-10-101 et seq., C.R.S.
• The Colorado Marijuana Rules – 1 CCR 212-3

• Oversight by the Colorado Department of Revenue – Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED)

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Understand the structure and authority of the Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED)
• Identify employee licensing requirements and duties
• Recognize prohibited conduct and disciplinary risks
• Apply responsible sales practices and impairment prevention standards
• Verify valid identification and prevent diversion
• Maintain compliant inventory control and recordkeeping
• Prepare for inspections and regulatory interactions

Any person who handles regulated marijuana or accesses inventory tracking data must understand Colorado compliance obligations.

Course Structure

This training is divided into four core modules:

Module 1 – Colorado Cannabis Laws, Regulators & Employee Duties

Module 4 – Inventory Control, Recordkeeping & Inspections

Each module includes a knowledge assessment quiz. A comprehensive final exam must be completed at the end of the course.
