Course Overview

This course is designed to support licensed medical cannabis dispensaries and production centers in meeting their responsibility to train employees on applicable Hawaii cannabis laws, safety standards, and operational requirements, as overseen by the Hawaii Department of Health.

Hawaii’s medical cannabis dispensary program is governed by Chapter 329D of the Hawaii Revised Statutes and Chapter 11-850 of the Hawaii Administrative Rules.

Participants receive instruction on:

• Employee responsibilities under Hawaii medical cannabis regulations
• State licensing structure and prohibited conduct
• Patient registry verification and dispensing requirements
• Security, inventory tracking, and recordkeeping standards
• Product handling, quality control, and current good manufacturing practices (GMP)
• Packaging, labeling, advertising, and compliance obligations
• Inspection readiness and enforcement awareness

This course is intended for dispensary employees, managers, production center staff, and other licensed cannabis establishment personnel as part of an employer-led compliance training program.

Successful completion of this course, including all required quizzes and the final exam, provides documentation of training completion for employer compliance and internal recordkeeping purposes.
