Welcome to the Marijuana Handlers™ California Responsible Vendor Training Program.

Course Overview

This course is designed to provide licensed California cannabis employees and managers with a practical, compliance-focused understanding of state cannabis laws, regulatory obligations, and operational safeguards under California law.

California cannabis operations are regulated by the California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) under the Medicinal and Adult-Use Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act (MAUCRSA), California Business and Professions Code, and applicable Title 4 California Code of Regulations provisions.

Participants receive instruction on:

• Employee responsibilities under California cannabis regulations
• The MAUCRSA statutory framework
• DCC licensing structure and enforcement authority
• Health, safety, and responsible sales requirements
• Age verification and diversion prevention
• Track-and-trace (METRC) inventory controls
• Security standards and inspection readiness
• Recordkeeping, reporting, and compliance documentation

This course applies to both adult-use and medicinal cannabis operations and is intended for retail staff, delivery personnel, cultivation employees, manufacturing personnel, distributors, managers, compliance officers, and other licensed cannabis establishment employees as part of an employer-led compliance training program.

Successful completion of all instructional modules, quizzes, and the final examination provides documentation of training completion for internal compliance and employer recordkeeping purposes.
